For Immediate Release — Oct. 10, 2020 — The word "force" took on a double meaning for Dalman Show Jumping at Split Rock Jumping Tour's Columbus International.

Force was the interaction that Dalman Show Jumping student Heather Wasilausky had on the competition in the 1.10m Jr/Am division, topping, among other classes, the 1.10m Jr/Am Final. G-Force was her winning mount, who has recorded at least one victory in every outing with Sandra Dalman's operation.

G-Force is one of a trio of exciting new additions to Dalman Show Jumping's string as it heads full steam ahead toward the winter show season. The 9-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding quickly made an impression after arriving from Schuyler Riley's Wolfstone Stables in September, jumping both Wasilausky and Javan Dalman to blues at multiple venues.

"I have known G-Force for quite a while and have always like the horse. Schuyler showed me a video of him in Europe as a 6-year-old!" Sandra explained. "Schuyler imported him in his 7-year-old year and produced him up to 1.45m. He's done [the Platinum Performance/USEF Talent Search Finals]—a bit of everything. After Javan won a class on him, Heather leased him for Split Rock [Columbus], and we thought it could potentially turn into a long-term partnership, and they got along great." G-Force permanently joined the barn after Wasilausky purchased the gelding in early October. "I was really proud of Heather in Columbus. She has worked very hard," Sandra said. "She has been with me for a year now, and she comes and rides every day, and takes multiple lessons every week. She puts a lot of time and energy into it and wants to get better at the sport and be more competitive. It was really nice to see it all come together for her and be on a horse that can really help her achieve her goals."

New addition Drake, a 7-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding by Dulf van de Bisschop hinted at his bourgeoning potential with a top 10 finish in the open 1.30m division. The well-bred bay is out of the Caretino mare Caretina III, who jumped at the international level with Harrie Smolders and Charlie Jayne, the latter of which competed her up to 1.60m. Bred in the USA by Maura Thatcher, Drake joined Dalman Show Jumping in September.

"Drake was bought as a longer-term project to develop into a grand prix horse, but he is for sale along the way," Sandra said. "He’s really been an exciting young horse as a 5-, 6- and 7-year-old. He just came for sale, and we scooped him up! He's talented, careful, brave, very competitive and has plenty of scope. He still has some learning to do, but he's jumped up to 1.35m already, and Split Rock was just our second show with him." Stallone BZ is also new to the Dalman string, though by all accounts, his tenure will not last long, as the versatile grey gelding is available for sale or lease. "Stanley" also recorded a top 10 finish in Columbus, doing so in the 1.10m division. "He’s just a really solid, easy-going guy," Sandra said. "He really could do all three rings."

Winter is Here!

Dalman Show Jumping is officially back in Wellington for the winter season, with availability for training and sales. Big plans are on the horizon after Sandra's top mount, Carlimbo Z made his FEI Grand Prix debut in Traverse City this summer.

"It's looking like we're going to be very busy with buying and selling horses this fall. I'm definitely excited for the upcoming WEF season," Sandra said. "I'm looking forward to jumping [Carlimbo Z] in his first Saturday Night Lights class. I have a lot of goals, and I'm enjoying producing the horse and bringing him up the ranks."
